The Importance of Microchipping your pet

This month at Vetcall Mudgeeraba we have noticed an increase of lost pets ending up at our clinic. Some of these pets have been fortunate enough to have an up to date microchip but others are not. We can't stress enough the importance of making sure your pet's microchip is up to date as this is the best way of reuniting them with you. Particularly in the season we are in now, storms are frequent and do scare our pets, it is important to keep an eye on your pets and keep them calm and comfortable during stormy times.

If you think that your pets microchip details aren't up to date be sure to pop into the clinic and one of our nurses can scan and locate the details of your pets microchip. To change microchip details simply head onto the AAR microchip website at www.rasnsw.com.au/animal-registry and update your pet’s details.

If you have lost a pet recently and are not to sure where to look we post a picture of the lost dogs we get here onto "Gold Coast Pets Lost and Found" Facebook page so this may also be a good place to look.

If you know your pet doesn't have a microchip at all it's as simple as calling our line on (07) 5530 2204 and booking in for a consultation to get your pet microchipped.
